Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry at St. Augustine targets youth in the 6th through 12th grades. To attract youth in a more responsible way the youth are divided into two groups – 6th through 8th grade and 9th through 12th grade. By doing this we can present programs that are more age appropriate.

Using the framework of Renewing the Vision as approved by the National Conference of Catholic Bishops in 1997, our Youth Ministry has 3 main goals for ministry with adolescents: 1) To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today, 2) To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community, and 3) To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Catholic Belleville Area Youth (CBAY) meets at the St. Augustine Campus. Youth from the Cathedral of St. Peter, St. Luke, St. Teresa, St. Mary, and St. Augustine parishes join together to build each other up in their Catholic Faith through various activities and events.  All teens including those from other than these 5 parishes are welcome to find out more about CBAY activities by searching for Catholic Belleville Area Youth on Facebook.
